Supply Planner & Buyer
Forecast demand. Plan ahead. Buy smart. Become the juggler at the center of our circular flow - balancing demand, stock, suppliers and purchasing.
NORNORM is a circular business, and our furniture is designed to stay in use - moving from one client to the next through a continuous cycle of delivery, return and reuse. That makes planning our product needs fundamentally different from a traditional linear supply chain.
As our new Supply Planner & Buyer, you will be sitting at the center of that flow, connecting customer demand, existing stock, returning products and new purchasing to make sure we have the right products available for upcoming installations.
This is a hands-on role combining supply planning, forecasting and purchasing. You will turn sales and installation demand into concrete product quantities, place and manage purchase orders, work directly with our suppliers and give our teams a reliable view of future product availability.
Working closely with our regional Delivery Teams, Sales, Supply Chain and suppliers, you will build and maintain a consolidated view of what we need across markets - and turn that plan into action. From anticipating future demand to following up on supplier delays, you will play a key role in making sure potential supply risks are identified and addressed early.
What you'll do
You will own our consolidated product need plan and translate demand across our markets into purchasing decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building and maintaining our consolidated product forecast and need plan, translating sales and installation demand into concrete product quantities
Placing and managing purchase orders and following up on confirmations, delivery dates, shortages and changes through to resolution
Maintaining close operational dialogue with suppliers, tracking performance and driving follow-up on delivery and lead-time reliability
Planning and monitoring central warehouse stock levels, identifying supply risks and recommending actions when availability is constrained
Bringing together regional demand into a consolidated global supply view and chairing recurring Sales & Supply Planning discussions
Maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier master data and supporting the operational onboarding of new products and suppliers
Providing fact-based recommendations when supply is constrained, including potential substitutions, sales steering and allocation decisions
Who you are
You like making the numbers add up - and then making things happen based on them.
You are analytical enough to understand demand patterns, stock and forecasts, but operational enough to pick up the phone when a supplier confirmation is missing or a delivery is at risk.
You are comfortable working with several moving inputs at once and creating a clear view of what matters. You don't need perfect information before making progress, but you are disciplined about following up, keeping data accurate and closing open issues.
We imagine that you bring:
A few years experience within supply planning, demand planning, purchasing, inventory planning or a similar operational role
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a good understanding of inventory, lead times and product availability
Hands-on experience working with suppliers, purchase orders and operational data
The ability to identify risks early, understand their consequences and drive issues through to resolution
Strong stakeholder skills and a structured, proactive approach to working across markets, functions and suppliers
Experience from furniture, logistics, manufacturing, retail or another product-based environment is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Why join NORNORM?
NORNORM is changing the way businesses think about office furniture. Instead of buying furniture and eventually throwing it away, our clients subscribe to a flexible, circular solution where furniture is continuously reused.
That creates a different planning challenge from a traditional linear supply chain. New purchasing is only one part of the equation - existing stock, returned products, refurbishment and changing client demand all influence what we actually need.
In this role, you will sit right at the centre of that equation. You will help create the reliable global supply view that allows our teams to plan installations, make better purchasing decisions and ultimately keep more furniture in circulation.
